There are mere days to go before the doors open to this year’s edition of the paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE), co-sponsored by Carro and RHB Bank, which takes place this weekend on July 19 and 20 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC).
Joining the proceedings this year is GAC, which comes to the event with offers on a selection of its models. Starting with the GS3 Emzoom, the brand’s Anniversary Mega Offer brings the accessibility of monthly instalments from RM990, a five-year, 150,000 km vehicle warranty and a seven-year, 180,000 km powertrain warranty.
The GS3 Emzoom gets a potent powertrain to go with its extroverted styling, here in Malaysia with a 1.5 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 177 PS and 270 Nm. Driving the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, it does the 0-100 km/h acceleration run in 7.5 seconds.
Aiming for a battery-electric model? GAC has just the ticket, too, with the Aion Y Plus starting from RM95,800, including a portable charger in its purchase price. Offering a battery range of 490 km (NEDC) for your zero-tailpipe-emissions travels, the Aion Y Plus is covered by an eight-year, 160,000 km vehicle warranty, as well as an eight-year, 200,000 km warranty on its battery, drive motor and electronics.
Bringing modern styling to the segment, the Aion Y Plus packs a front-mounted motor delivering 204 PS and 225 Nm of torque, propelling the EV from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. Its 63.2 kWh Magazine Battery 2.0 is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) unit enabling up to 430 km of range on the WLTP cycle, and this can be recharged at up to 80 kW DC, or 6.6 kW with AC charging.
In addition to GAC, PACE 2025 will also host BMW and MINI (both represented by Auto Bavaria), Mercedes-Benz (represented by Hap Seng Star), Audi, BYD, Denza, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, GWM, Xpeng and Zeekr. For two-wheeler fans, BMW Motorrad is present, and so are Kineta and Trapo for your automotive needs.
