Volvo offering attractive cash rebates across new model range – up to RM40,888 off XC40, EX30, XC60

Volvos are enduring cars, and they do so with more than just material longevity. Eschewing stylistic flamboyance, the Volvo aesthetic ages very well, and we may well find that, in a decade’s time, today’s generation of Volvo cars with their clean lines and surfacing, and classy, minimalist themes continue to stay fresh, transcending trends.

They’re also very fast. Those who were already driving in the 90s would know better than to ‘challenge’ a T-badged Volvo on the move, and that applies to today’s crop of Volvo EVs too. The EX30 is a classic ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ – small and innocuous-looking, the junior EX is capable of 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. That’s supercar territory!

There’s much to like about today’s Volvos, which should be on the list of every premium car buyer. If it’s not on yours yet, perhaps the Volvo Rebates by Volvo Car Malaysia might change that. How about up to RM40,888 of cash rebates?

The above-mentioned EX30 starts with the Ultra that is the baseline package, though it still comes packed with a full suite of features, coming in a compact, trendy package with all the safety and technology you’ll ever need. Base variant it may be, the 272 PS/343 Nm single-motor Ultra can still do an impressive 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds and as WLTP-rated range of 476 km. All this with a RM23,888 cash rebate, bringing the price down to just RM185,000.

But if truly keen performance is what you’re looking for, you can get the EX30 Ultra Twin Performance. Adding on another motor for AWD, 428 PS, 543 Nm and a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.6 seconds, for a little trade off in range at a still-generous 450 km (WLTP). The rebate for this one is RM33,888, which translates to a sticker price of RM195,000 – what a package!

If you’re looking to trade the compactness of the EX30 for added room to accommodate a family with kids and pets, that’s where the XC40 and XC60 come in – for those in the early stages of transitioning to electrified motoring, the XC40 in B5 mild-hybrid form (2.0-litre turbo, total output 260 hp/390 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds), is now yours for RM238,000, equalling a RM30,000 rebate.

The XC40’s body and interior, with a sloping coupe-style roof, sporty rear end and all-electric powertrain, is now called the EC40 (was C40). With two motors, 408 PS and 670 Nm, 0-100 km/h is done in just 4.7 seconds; it’ll go a long way too, with 554 km of WLTP range. The EC40 Twin now comes with a RM40,888 cash rebate. Last but not least, the evergreen XC60 – Volvo’s best-selling model of all time – is yours with a RM20,000 rebate.

Peace of mind is a standard feature too, as every new Volvo comes with the carmaker’s VSP five-year complimentary service package. Swede dreams, now with sweet deals – more info on the latest offers from Volvo, here.
