We are mere days away from the very first paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) powered by Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4M, and Volkswagen will be present in a big way, with a wide range of cars on display as well as for test drives.
PACE is set to take place this weekend, November 3-4 at the Setia City Convention Centre, and there will be a petrol rebate of RM2,000 for every Volkswagen booked at the event. That’s on top of the offers already available for each model.
Besides the Malaysian premiere of the Volkswagen Arteon, the Golf R-Line, Golf GTI, Golf R, Passat JOIN, Passat Highline, Tiguan JOIN and the iconic Beetle will be on display. Meanwhile, test drives of the Beetle, Golf R-Line, Golf GTI, Golf R, Passat Comfortline and Highline, and the Tiguan Highline will be available.
The Volkswgen Tiguan will be on offer at PACE in two guises – Highline and the JOIN edition, and buyers who opt for the former will receive and additional RM2,000 rebate. Common to all versions of the Tiguan on offer here is the 1.4 litre TSI engine that makes 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels via a six-speed wet-dual-clutch gearbox.
Here, you’ll get an eight-inch infotainment system, App-connect (Mirrorlink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) and six airbags as standard, while opting for the Highline scores you the eye-catching Active Info Display, powered seats, LED headlamps, ‘Vienna’ leather upholstery, an electric tailgate and 18-inch wheels.
Meanwhile if a D-segment sedan is more your thing, the German marque has the Passat to offer. Like the Tiguan, the Passat will come in Highline, Comfortline and JOIN editions, and even bigger rebates are for the taking – book a Passat Comfortline and get a RM15,000 rebate, and you book a Passat Highline you’ll get a RM4,000 rebate.
Key specifications of the Volkswagen Passat include a 1.8 TSI engine in the Comfortline variant, producing 180 PS and 250 Nm of torque, output to the front wheels via a seven-speed dry dual-clutch gearbox. The Highline is augmented with a 2.0 litre TSI engine with 220 PS and 350 Nm of torque, channeled to a six-speed wet-clutch transmission.
The Comfortline and Highline variants get an eight-inch infotainment system and App-connect (Mirrorlink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), while the Highline adds an Active Info Display, DCC (adaptive chassis control) and navigation. Both the Passat and the Tiguan will come with Volkswagen Malaysia’s SST price protection scheme, which is in effect until November 30.
