Sad that GM’s development of this brand is kinda lacklusture….

I’ve always admired Saab cars… sensible technology with great engines.

Yup. seems like GM doesn’t know how to position the Saab brand. Whether to challenge the entry level beemers or to mix it with the second level europeans, that is the question.

Ya.. just like what’s happening to Volvo. When the Mk1 S40 was introduced back in 1997, it was doing battle with the 3 series and the Audi A4, but because the car was heavily inferior to the 3 and the C, the MK2 now sports a smaller body putting it out of nowhere against the German trio. The next S60 with the Mondeo chassis should bridge the gap a little with the 3 and the C but you can’t expect the Swedes to dethrone the Germans.
