Youngman Lotus L3 sedan given a minor facelift

Youngman Lotus L3 sedan given a minor facelift

Found this while sifting through the plethora of photos taken at Auto China, and it’s of the Youngman Lotus L3 sedan, which might be of interest to Proton anoraks. The Persona form there has been given a very, very minor facelift, as the GT variant shows.

Youngman Lotus L3 sedan given a minor facelift

Pretty sedate outing this, boring even if you compare it to the L3 GT seen at Auto Guangzhou in 2010, which looked like an Ah Beng’s dream come true. External changes are minimal, and these are made up of a new grille, front bumper and new taillamps, and the GT wears a different wheel design to the standard L3 (the one with the lady friend standing next to it and via side profile).

Is lotus really ok with youngman using their name. It’s not good for their image.

I don’t think porsche will ever gives their name to be use by other manufacturer no matter how it’ll be pronounce.

The car is a rebadged Proton Persona.

          Proton owns Lotus.

Can’t get even more obvious than that.

Yes it’s oblivious Lotus is owned by Proton. That is why proton should protect the brand image of lotus. Some things money can’t buy. Brand image is one. If renault owns lotus you think youngman can simply slap lotus name on its cars? Why proton can give approval? My guess this involves lots of money.

Another export that could increase Foreign Revenue, Balance of Trade and reduce our exposure by western economies and secure current jobs for many.
