The HondaLink smartphone app has made its Asian debut in Thailand, along with Honda Roadside Assistance and HondaLink Navigation. The apps are designed to enhance the Honda owner experience by making it quicker and easier for customers to access detailed information about their vehicles.

The HondaLink app has three main features: Car Log, Statistics and Maintenance. Car Log records information such as when the vehicle is refuelled, the history of the vehicle’s checks based on the distance travelled and so on. Statistics displays fuel economy and odometer settings at key points, amongst others.

Finally, Maintenance provides notifications from a Honda dealer about the vehicle’s maintenance, including routine check-up, oil and filter changes and part replacements. It also builds a detailed maintenance history of the vehicle.

The location-based Honda Roadside Assistance app allows quick and easy calls for roadside support. Using the Tracking Provider feature, customers can trace the location of the Honda Service Centre vehicle that’s heading to the site to provide assistance.

HondaLink Navigation provides real-time traffic updates – apart from the usual sat-nav features, drivers can pre-check the route and plan their travel accordingly. This app has a three-year connection fee of US$39 (RM122), but a free 30-day trial is available.

HondaLink and Honda Roadside Assistance can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play; HondaLink Navigation is only downloadable from the Apple App Store. Minimum requirements are iPhone iOS 5.0 or above, or Android 2.3.4 or above.
