Petrol stations used to be a place where you simply tanked up your ride, but they’ve become much more these days – think a ‘destination’ where you can not only fuel up, but also shop, run errands, do banking, pay bills, have a coffee or even hang out with family and friends, and you’ve pretty much got a station of today.
The one-stop centre convenience concept is very much what Petronas is offering with its stations. With over 1,000 stations nationwide, the national oil company has the largest network of convenience stores at petrol stations, with over 700 Kedai Mesra outlets.
Plenty on call at the stations, led by over 1,400 ATM terminals, 500 Touch ‘n’ Go facilities and 900 e-Pay terminals for customers to pay their utility bills and perform their banking transactions. The company is also venturing into a partnership with Malaysian Electronic Payment System to line up more ATM terminals for greater banking convenience.
Petronas is also the first to offer branchless banking service with BSN at over 300 stations – customers with BSN ATM Card can now deposit, withdraw, pay utility bills and purchase Premium Savings Certificate (eSSP) as well as goods from Mesra Shop.
Dining-wise, there are approximately 80 quick-serve restaurants ranging from international chains such as McDonald’s, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks to local offerings from Kayu Nasi Kandar, Craven Café Penang Nasi Kandar, Daily Fresh, Hot & Go and Bread Story Pick ‘n’ Go.
Motorists can also pamper their cars at the 38 car spas available at selected stations. To add fun to convenience, the first-of-its-kind Twin Stations located along the Besraya highway also stage performances periodically to entertain customers who dine there.
The company also rewards points via its Mesra Card loyalty programme. Points earned at the station can be used to purchase fuel and non-fuel products as well as AirAsia tickets through a smart partnership with the airline.
The coverage of services is very much aimed at providing as much as possible to customers. “We understand motorists’ need for a central place where they can access everything at one stop under one roof,” said Akbar Md Thayoob, senior general manager, Petronas Dagangan Berhad.
“Our Petronas stations are designed for motorists to conveniently stop by and have a cup of coffee while waiting for the rush hour to subside. They can also purchase provisions as opposed to having to go to a supermarket after a long day at work or stock up the essentials before heading out for a long-distance trip,” he said.
“We want our customers to know that they are always at the top of our mind and whatever innovation and differentiation that we create, we do it with them in mind. This is our brand promise – to provide our customers with service differentiation and to make their journey on the road a pleasant one,” he added.
Ok. So anything new?
And….. What about the security? With Malaysia being one of the safest countries in the world, hanging out at a petrol station sounds great!!
Perfect pits for all the rempits!!
rempits can gather anywhere Kelly. be safe!
dear Petronas Dagangan.
things i don’t like at your petrol station:
1- fuel flow is slow. very slow.
2- credit card process at pump also slow due to:
i- the payment screen is so huge, but wasting time to choose language. why not just put all 3 languages at the screen?
ii- the receipt is slowly produced
and many many more….
Agreed. Sometimes i put my card in and keep waiting for it to approve, then I find out the machine has been doing nothing and stuck at language screen. Other petrol stations straight process the card when u put in.
And ya… The fuel goes in slowly, Buang masa
Isn’t slower pumping rate gives you more liquid rather than air/bubbles?
Do they hv enough car park for those services or not?
never missed their good toilets and tyre inflators…
sori I isik shell je…
they will close before mid night…
Last month, at Batu Tiga Shah Alam beside Federal Highway station, the fuel pump stucked, when i pull out, the fuel spilled out onto my pants, i went to the toilet but no soap to wash off, end up driving to mamak shop and car wash to wash…another station oso no soap…Petronas, pls take notice…oso, yur pump lcd showing amount pumped not visible at all very hard to see
Nice surau and toilet then other petrol station
Say NO to nepotism.
Say no to giving my hard earned cash to other Oil Co. Malaysian first! :)
Utk org2 kuat petronas,
Terima kasih.
report to mesralink! please state the stations. use mesra card for points. dollar equal to points.
Petronas can only advise on the recommended retail price for other products, but it is up to the dealers to fix their price margin. Setiap tuanpunya stesen adalah orang yang berbeza serta lokasi yang berlainan menyebabkan harga jualan berbeza-beza. Consumer should exercise their right not to buy if they feel the products in Mesra stores are higher than market price. Terima kasih.
I smell some jealousy here. Hey brothers, right now petronas has beaten shell in terms of its services at petrol station. Do u ever find starbucks at shell station? Nahhhh
Petronas is a good company but sadly it reputation badly damaged bad apples in the company involved in corruption/ kickbacks etc…
Did Petronas ask PaulTan to do this ad? Drive electric car, don’t use Petronas.
