Lexus NX 300h on display at IGEM 2014 in KLCC

Lexus Malaysia has kicked off its run-in to the Lexus NX‘s introduction in the country – a NX 300h example is on display at the UMW Toyota booth at the 5th International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition (IGEM 2014) in KLCC, which runs from today until Sunday.

The unit on display isn’t a Malaysian-specification vehicle – it’s on loan from Thailand, and in terms of trim and spec, is actually closer to the baseline NX 200t that we’ll be getting, with items like the 17-inch 10-spoke alloys and 225/65 tyres giving it away.

Basically, the display vehicle is more a preview of the form rather than features or kit to expect. Access to the interior was initially unavailable, since it isn’t representative of what we’ll be getting anyway, but the UMW Toyota folk were kind enough to allow us to get some snaps of the cabin.

We’ll be getting the NX 300h, as well as four variants of the NX 200t, when the SUV goes on sale here next year. The NX 300h is powered by a hybrid system comprised of a 2.5 litre four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine with 153 hp and 210 Nm and two-motor system offering a combined output of 194 hp, paired with a CVT transmission.

UPDATE: The Lexus NX is now open for booking in Malaysia, where estimated prices and specs of five variants have been released. Full story here.

Those who are familiar with high end vehicles may agree that any Lexus from RX350 and below are not good in their designs especially the interior.
What happen to you, ES, especially?
LS are not attraactive, especially the interior.

So the NX is the Harrier equivalent? RX is in itself a higher step up? Shouldn’t the RX and Harrier be of the same calibre? Has the Harrier been downgraded?

    Lexus, Toyota, you’re confusing me..

    • If you can’t even differentiate between Lexus and toyota, better for you to go back to school than talk cock here.

I hope you don’t kiss your mother with that mouth. I was merely pointing out the positioning of the Harrier since the car has been downsized with a 2 liter engine. Hence the question. Was it wrong for me to point it out? At least I have a c**k, thanks for pointing it out that I am a man and not like someone who’s life is being dictated by a sponge under the sea.

No, the NX and RX are different classes altogether. The NX sits below the RX.
