So, what does Letty from The Fast and the Furious think of the Jaguar F-Type SVR? Very fast it seems. In a new video by Jaguar, the clip shows Michelle Rodriguez pushing the “fastest production Jaguar” to the limits.
Filmed on a closed highway somewhere in the Nevada desert, it’s apparent that the performance-oriented coupe has no issue hitting 100 km/h, while emitting a nice audible burble at that. Although it takes a while to hit 323 km/h, actually managing the feat must be thrilling on its own (and a blur).
“It was beautiful, the ride’s real smooth,” Rodriguez said in the clip. That should be the case seeing that the F-Type SVR sports an enhanced chassis, aluminium double wishbone front and rear suspension and revised valves in the continuously-variable dampers, together with recalibrated software in the Adaptive Dynamics system.
As a recap, the F-Type SVR sports a 567 hp/700 Nm supercharged 5.0 litre V8 engine. The coupe goes from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and on to 321 km/h, and the convertible onwards to 314 km/h. The SVR gets heaps of enhancements that can be found from head to tail, giving it better aerodynamics and less weight (by 25 kg) compared to the F-Type R.
