Renault Sport will unveil a “special version” of Clio RS at the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend. The car is to mark Renault Sport’s 40th anniversary and celebrate Renault’s return as a Formula 1 team, the company says.
“We successfully completed the project of a slightly crazy car. It was a joint effort by the Renault Sport Cars and Renault Sport Racing teams. This Clio RS refines the expertise of Renault Sport engineers whilst exploring new avenues for the future,” said Patrice Ratti, MD of Renault Sport Cars.
In addition to the official press image above, a couple of images that appears to be from the same series are circulating online and they’re attached below.
The pics show a signature yellow Clio RS that has more aggressive body styling (wider arches and sills, big protruding wing, RS flag pattern on bumper) compared to the Clio RS 220 Trophy, which is currently the hottest Clio available and the fastest of its kind on the Nurburgring with a lap time of 8:32. 250 hp for this one?

Wah… One of ‘beautiful’ torque curve for turbo cars so far… Theoretically flat up to 5500rpm. Good job done, Renault Sport..!
