Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class Artist’s Impression

Mercedes-Benz has long been rumoured to be coming up with the CLE-Class, a coupe based on the C-Class, but what we’ve got so far is only the CLC-Class, a restyled hatchback version of the previous generation C-Class chassis.
Theophilus Chin has whipped up what he thinks the CLE-Class 4-door coupe could look like, with headlamps inspired by the SL-Class. It’s essentially a smaller version of the Mercedes Benz CLS-Class, and the CLS is a 4-door coupe version of the E-Class.
No news anywhere lately about the CLE-Class, so it may not be something that could ever come into existence after all. It was rumoured that the CLE would come with suicide-doors instead of being a proper 4-door car because the car would be much smaller than the E-Class-based CLS and the 4 doors would not look good on it.

Good try, but somehow the sloping rear does not sit in harmony with the front.
Makes it look like C5. Slightly unbalanced.

Thanks Kevin, but it’s flawed. Notice the number plate on the CLS? Terbalik, when I flipped and added the CLS behind the CLE chop (for comparison). Also the shadow from my chop doesn’t fit perfectly with the CLS, as the CLS was originally on concrete ground, so you see part of the CLS’s front right tyre is “dirty”.
The base car I used was Passat CC. It’s actually very similar to the CLS profile wise. I did have to push the front wheels forward, as it’s suppose to be rear-wheel driven. The side swage line had to be reposition and reshaped too. Unlike CLS, the Passat CC’s side is more horizontally straight.

ok, really nothing bad about this CLE…..
but as for me, the CLS is the best looking Benz of all time

for me… the red one look like the Citroën C3… i mean the front part…
i might be diff view by others.
