BMW M Division tasked with production Concept CS
BMW’s M Division head Ludwig Willisch said last Friday that the BMW Concept CS (shown above) would make it into production, and although no naming convention has been defined yet, almost everyone expects the new car to carry the nameplate of the gorgeous BMW 8-Series from the 90s. The M Division will be handling the project but like the 8-Series, there will likely be no M version.
The old 8-Series had a “spiritual M car” in the form of the 850CSi which had an engine built by the division with an S engine code complete with M badges in the engine bay, but no M badges on the rear or in the name.
Looking at BMW’s current and future engine ranges, you can expect a new 850i with the new 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8 and an 860i with a V12, complete with ZF’s new 8-speed automatic.

BMW, please don’t let it down by having the final production designed like the new 7 series. This one should be a serious competitor to Merc CLS and other 4-door luxury coupe out there.

Luxury Coupe Sedan segment is getting more exciting - we going to see Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera & BMW 8-Series. Strangely BMW is the last one to confirm the production.Is Audi joining the fray too?
One thing I find it peculiar about the styling of the new 7-series, is the oversized double kidney grille. Just ruins the otherwise, elegant styling.

Hmm, 4 or 5 seats? Looks nice, though not sure if this is meant to be a drivers car or chauffeurs car

hm ,bmw also used 8 speed huh?
hope it is a much faster trans than lexus 8 speed
lexus have 1 s change gear time which is fastest among pure automatic
so i hope bmw used a dual clutch instead of a pure automatic

I’m just confused. Is it Luxury Coupe Sedan or Saloon? This car do not fit to be in the sedan category. Don’t you think, Jaybond? More of Super Saloon Coupe I’d say.
I will have a hard time to choose, if they put the Aston Rapid and this CS side by side. Panamera? Porsche should just stick to making sports car alongside Ferrari. Ferrari just didn’t bother, did they?

Ferrari will never bother, they already have the Maserati Quattroporte.
While the overall profile is very svelte-looking, I’m not really sure about the front end of the BMW CS Concept. Too agressive I think.Maybe should be toned down a bit , or make the headlamp a bit like the 5-series.
