The new Chevrolet Aveo hatchback is called the Aveo5 now in the Malaysian market as the nameplate is now also being used by the new Aveo notchback. The hatchback variant has been updated recently with new styling although essentially pretty much the same car. Engine options now consist of an 84 horsepower 1.2 litre engine and a 98 horsepower 1.4 litre engine – a big improvement over the current Malaysian Aveo5 with a 1.5 litre engine that produces only 83 horsepower.
The interior has also be substantially enhanced. The meter panel is now a sporty 3-pod design with meters that are backlit with red. The door panels are now more conventional in design, an improvement over the current Malaysian Aveo5’s which has a GEN2-like circular door opener lever.
The new Chevrolet Aveo five-door hatchback model will first hit European showrooms in March 2008, followed by a three-door hatchback model a few weeks later. No news of when this updated Aveo hatchback will be available in Malaysia, but one thing’s likely: the 98 horsepower 1.4 litre engine will probably make only 95 over here, as the same engine in the Aveo notchback only produces 95.

wow new interior…….the front signal upper edge and hood looks like new 5 series
How bout safety rating then?….improved?…how many star? Last time got no star if im not mistaken
for sure this is not the real Chevy..the ‘muscle car’,the price is the main factor now…
playfull
dont like it
Lovely car… Hope it makes it here :)
cacat exterior, nice interior
The front seems taken from audi…
it definitely look awkward…
and look like they have learned a lot of proton…do some changes to the head lights and rear lights…add a spoiler…some minute changes here and there….
ta daaaa…. new car…
and the layered dashboard… looks like proton persona…
suitable for aunties…haha…front looks cool cos of the shadow of new lancer but the back looks funny..weird…front and back doesn’t match..lol
disagree
this car not suitable for aunties
ah soos will for go for cute ,ladylike Myvi
this aveo a bit a fierce look.. ah soo wudnt like it
The glove compartment copy from Persona? Backside looks awkward. Front side is OK. Side view ada sikit-sikit like Citra. Internal space not so wide but it takes a lot of people money.
grab handle from bmw
The front looks like the Vios..
its like the car is so confused dono wat to look like…! so messy n copying blindly from everywer…..and personally, from experience, anyting less than 100hp is frustrationg to drive !
Price ?
the car looks slightly weird, like no idea what else to do with the available space and put grills everywhere
Never mind the looks. The horse power turned me off already.
Yo soy Betty La Fea = Ugly Betty
i think the price will be around 70K
not bad….but not too good either..
that side-vent or so called gill doesn’t seems nice anyway….
the ugliest view are from its rear…. those two taillight and bumper mesh looks ackwardly ugly…
audi inspired grill
whats with the twin exhaust ?
the front remind me of king arthur’s knight shield.. hehe
it looks as though it’s been modified by some workshop in sunway or something. Get real, designing a car like this will only limit ur marketplace to those people progressing from mat rempit status. No family mum will buy it!
And those ‘dub’ wheels will do hell to the handling, economy and performance.
Exterior of this car is such a huge improvement, really like the front and the rear tail pipes. But that picture of the interior is nothing better than the old Aveo which spells Korean car all over it.
1.2 0r 1.4 litre- two rear exhaust,?
air outlet/exit at under front window pillar? for what?
Use current Aveo body, mix with Vios headlamp, Lancer GT bumper, Chery QQ tail light, mix this, mix that…
Tada.. all new Daewoo Aveo.. Ops… Chevrolet Aveo.
Not bad…
not nice at all!!!!!
