Nasim has added two new colours to the Peugeot 308 VTi. The red shade you see above is called Babylon red and is the same one previously only available on the Peugeot 308 GT and the Turbo. It’s a very nice colour for the 308 and looks like it was meant to be a “hero colour” for the 308. As for the blue which is called Ocean Blue, it’s only available for the VTi. Look after the jump for a couple more photos.

There are some complaints about service experiences and minor design quirks such as the handbrake placement, but overall, enthusiasm for the car's aesthetics, performance, and new color options dominates the comments.
Nasim sale man screw up in Johor.. I booked white 308 turbo and promised deliver the car mid July…until now still not getting my car..very dissapointed and inpact I called the Sales man more than he call me for the status… I going to call the branch manager and try to bypass existing sales man… Comment from the sales man..i tak kisah kalau nak withdraw from the purchasing the car… I am very dissappointed over the comment from him…He not even can deliver the car on exact date…
Was impressed by the power delivery but the only thing that step me back is the car did not really cater for right hand drive, such as the gear box and etc.
i agree that the french are stingy in not catering for rhd markets. the least they could do if they wanted to save money was to design a uni-directional system where it will not look out of place in either lhd or rhd markets.
no big deal but i have heard of some people asking why was the hand brake lever placed so far to the left – especially women who may need to stretch to get to it. not critical but it shows if the french has all markets in mind in their design department. i think most can overlook the design quirk to enjoy the total sum of the car though.
we also know that the 407 and 308 have very wide central consoles. the 206 has a narrow space in between the front seats and i guess that's why they have left the hand brake lever in the centre in that car.
The disadvantage that i'm aware of, beside the position of the hand brake lever, is the tiny glovebox (the fuse box eat up ~30% of its space).
The wiper might bias to the front passenger instead of the driver. i not to sure thou, if it is. not an issue with the 206. maybe because both wipers (long 22 inch mind you) are of the same size.
The headlamp light beam might lighten up the wrong side, i.e. the LHS more effectively (but i do know that Peugeot does have headlights specifically to cater for RHD or LHD for some other models. Not so sure about the 308).
The latch to open the front bonnet might be in the wrong side (its at the passenger side as what happen in the 206).
What else could be of inconvenience?
The brake servo might be in the wrong side too, but that is fine.
And i can't see what is the relationship between this concern with the gearbox (as mentioned by yming)? That was weird. Is he refering to the gearbox lever? Is it that off-position for RHD?
NAZA is pushing on sales and new model. Personally Peugeot is a good car but the one who representing it screw up and is stepping on customer toe. My 206 although mention 3 years warranty but what is the point that i still need to pay parts that shall not fail till the mileage. Even to get a booking for inspection at Glenmarie tell you tell you 'call back tomorrow'. Untill the warranty over you will get.?
The car value of engineering but not value for service…bottom line " not value of money'
with the i30 launched at about 1k more than this car and offering less in terms of spec, the vti with its lion save package is starting to look like better value. even the engine performance seems similar but the vti will always have a slight edge in handling and ride comfort.
Sighted a brand spanking new white panaromic 308 Turbo OTR….utterly gorgeous. That sexy glassy roof is almost t deal clincher for me except….
…for the dissappointing test drive…engine's great…but slow & indecisive archaic 4-spd auto (no way tat Porsche shld lend their name on this), brittle town ride that can't filter out sharp bumps well, floaty handling and slow to re-bound dampers that takes t fun out of tackling tight S curves and an about average cabin quietness.
…I need my will-power….I won't be tempted by the price or high equipment levels….as I'll need to live with it on a daily basis for at least t next 5 years…
Hi kversys, the 4 speed auto was not that disappointing. At first am just like you vomit after heard bout the 4 sp auto because its outdated (ppl said) but after test drive. its was a great car and 4 sp doesnt really let me down and the gear setting is really good, hence why you need 6 sp? really going to use all the 6 gears in town? 308 sure will never let you down…. End up I am brought my cheque book and owned…
hmmm…it ain't exactly new colors, it replaces the lunar mist(rubbish color) and tauranga blue(a real pity, considering it was my favourite colour for the 308, that certain 308 commercial video where it drove through waves, the 308 in that video used this colour, and i fell in love with it)
