If you’ve been following the social media scene you would have heard of the Ford Fiesta Movement. The Fiesta Movement started in the US with 100 ‘agents’. They each spent six months behind the wheel of a European Fiesta. They shared their experiences and completed monthly missions to show you what the Ford Fiesta was all about (months and months before it would be available in the U.S.). You can visit the Fiesta Movement Chapter 1 website to find out more about all the missions that the ‘agents’ did.
Sime Darby Auto ConneXion is having their very own Fiesta Movement here in Malaysia to announce the arrival of the Ford Fiesta sometime in Q3 2010. ‘Agents’ here in Malaysia can participate in a series of ‘Missions’ on the Ford Fiesta Malaysia Facebook Fan Page and win giveaways. In Mission One, the agents had to pose with the Fiesta at the car’s 1 Utama preview showcase and upload their photo onto the Facebook fan page.
Mission Two has just started. The Ford Fiesta will be at a series of locations around Malaysia. Ford will be organizing a flash mob there. What an ‘agent’ has to do is basically just visit the flash mob and just record a video of themselves there with the Ford Fiesta Flash Mobbers. You can either be in the same frame with them or perhaps join in the fun. Then you have to upload your video onto the Ford Fiesta Malaysia Facebook Fan Page and get your friends to ‘Like’ the video.
The entries with the most Likes win and there is no limit to the number of times you can participate, so you can join every scene and upload a video. The top three Liked videos for each scene will win RM250 worth of Topshop vouchers while the next 20 will get a pair of GSC movie tickets. Here’s the first two scenes, both of which will happen this Friday the 14th of May:
- 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM – Menara Millennium Bukit Damansara – in front of the building
- 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM – Bukit Bintang, Bangunan Yayasan Selangor traffic junction

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
wow, that’s cool.
nice car…….
nice body……
UNRESISTANT beauty, expect Q3 and Q4 of 2010 flow out many new car. fiesta is one of my favorite.
nice car, any price indication so far? Ta..
when can i test it le…. but Penang…. hard looooo….
nice model…..the one that with yellow hat.
Btw, is this car share some parts with Mazda 2?? But this car looks better.
The chassis is the same as the Mazda 2 and both come from the same Thailand factory. But the engine and transmission are different. Mazda 2 is 1.3 and 1.5 (only 1.5 sold in Malaysia). The Fiesta uses 1.4 and 1.6. Mazda 2 gearbox is 4 speed auto while Fiesta uses 6-speed twin clutch. Mazda 2 has no ESP, Fiesta has ESP stability control.
6 speed twin clutch is way too cool for this car category!!!
It looks like Feista has better tech features.. some motorheads still choose Mazda2, why? What’s the price comparison like?
Fiesta not yet launch. Fiesta supposed to be 75k to 85k. Mazda 2 prices you can get here:

Just got an update on the Mazda2 price… Bermaz increase the price on both Mazda2 4doors and 5doors..2.5k to 4.5k respectively…1st May onwards…
And there throw in 3yrs or 60k free maintenance whichever come first…Do you think still worth it…? 4..5k for free 3 years maintenance?
man,it a gimmick even u and me can be easy spot on it. However it still work on some kind of malaysian
Hi Paul,
Do you know the car specs of the upcoming Driven episode review for Ford Fiesta? Will it be the 1.6 variant with 6speed powershift that will be launched in malaysia in Q3?
Looks like Ford has very deep pockets when marketing this baby !!
Just bring it on and let PaulTan provide us with a better insight.
We have yet to experience the smoothness/benefits of a 6 speed gearbox
cos thus far only the higher bracket cars come with 6-8speed gearbox
and not forgetting our very own P1 who claims to
have a 6 speed gearbox on the pipeline too. :)
Nice car.. but it hard to compete with Dugong or City. Malaysian don’t like US branded product except KFC, McD and Coca cola.
it has follow-me-home headlamps too!
dude, you might want to tone down the sharpness of the photo a little. Looks like someone had too much fun with the unsharp mask :p
