The Fiat Punto has ended up being one of those cars that have gone beyond a traditional 5 year lifecycle. It was originally launched in 2005 as the Grande Punto, and was renamed the Punto Evo in 2009 when it was given a first facelift. Now Fiat has announced a second facelift, set to debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show this month. There are two new engines – a new 0.9 litre Fiat TwinAir Turbo making 85 PS and 145Nm of torque, as well as a 1.4 litre Multijet Diesel making 85 PS and 200Nm of torque.

Headlights remind me of Aston Martin.
punto used to be popular back here in malaysia.
1.4 Gt is the top model… i knew few people who drove puntos… but sadly, the legacy is over and some young people laugh when the heard the word ‘punto’….
if the price is right, and somebody sell this car here, i really love to own 200nm diesel….
Yeah, agreed. And it actually looks quite good. But I’d prefer the Fiat Bravo, though.
What an understatement! Used to own a punto until a few months back. So surprised that torino is no more the distributor and now hoping, just hoping that a well reputable company can bring the fiat marque to the glory days that it used to enjoy just a century ago. :-(
basically, a 2nd hand unit, wont get any loan from banks…
my fren wanted to buy this luvly cabriolet, but he had to pay it cash… no bank interested giving out loan.
he ended up, buying a 2nd hen getz….
Used to see quite a lot of fiats on our roads actually.. puntos, bravas, coupes, multipla..etc.
there might be hope for fiat if they can get a good distributor here.. looking at the car market today, malaysians are starting to have an appetite for continental cars again.. (not talking about the usual audi, bmw, mercedes..)
