Honda will be previewing the second generation Honda Ridgeline at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. Here’s a teaser sketch released by Honda which gives us an idea how it will look like.
The Ridgeline competes in the US pickup truck market but is a unique product in the sense that it’s built on a unibody platform reinforced with a frame. The bed is integrated with the cab body.
Since it’s based on the same platform that the US market Honda Odyssey minivan uses, the Honda Ridgeline has a transversely-mounted engine that primarily drives the front wheels until the all wheel drive system detects rear traction is needed. The second generation will probably follow the same formula.
it looks like an over-sized proton arena with a honda badge on it…
Looks promising, for a pick-up.
Hope it won’t end like current Optima which has good sketch.
