Fancy yourself a car expert, and have a knack for writing? Do you think you have what it takes to be a motoring journalist for Malaysia’s leading automotive website? Well, now’s your chance to be a part of the growing paultan.org crew. That’s right, we’re looking for new writers to join the team!
Certain things, you either can, or cannot do. Writing most definitely falls into that category. If you’re intrigued by the prospect of making a living out of words and, more importantly, think you can pull it off, it’s time to channel your inner Setright (or Clarkson, if you so wish, but we don’t condone fistfights) and write in to us.
No, you don’t have to come up with a 3,000-word thesis on why you think BMW should stick to making rear-wheel drive cars, nor should you try to sound like Anthony Lim to impress us. In fact, don’t write in attempting to impress us at all – leave that thesaurus well alone, thank you ;). Keep it simple; be natural.
What we really want is for you to project your own voice. Your own spin on things. Write a sample article, on anything that you think we’d be interested in reading, and email it over to [email protected] together with your resume. As with most things, the early bird catches the worm.
Some say it’s the best job in the world. Why don’t you find out for yourself? Don’t worry, we won’t bite. Well actually, Harve might – he’s unpredictable that way…
Hmmm… interesting job indeed.
If I write in about the importance of RV, you will see me in the team photo.
As I always said, you won’t go wrong with sushi cars.
Actually I have been writing long time for Paul Tan team. Paul Tan himself secretly hired me 2 years ago to write about RV.
It is a special request from GLC UMW to Paul Tan team. In return, UMW will advertise maximum on oto and paultan.org
So, 2 years ago, Paul Tan beg me to join their team and a secret and mystery writer promoting Toyota and UMW. My job was to write about RV and how good Toyota is.
But now, I got falling out with UMW. I left UMW last month. So, I don’t mind revealing all this to PT readers. At least, it clears my conscience.
Its ok Sam Loo, GST affects everyone.

If you join, can you write a review about Iriz?
Someone is leaving the team ?

I will apply… on one surety that I get to cover the next NSX if invited.
Or maybe a woman could apply.
is good to get a different perspective in your team.
Women see curves differently…
Agree with this since the previous posting for writers. Many have suggested hiring females to have a different outlook for paultan’s team.
i like to make a living out of driving cars, not so good at making living out of words only
Expats could apply?
I think it is a brilliant opportunity. The motoring world is a pretty interesting one I guess. Definitely enjoy living in the comments, I think I would stick there for now
LOL you sneaky bastard xD.
For a moment there I thought you were gonna say something along the lines of trying to apply.

Hi, i’m interested in the job but i know it [interest] itself not sufficient and honestly, don’t know what i should write abt. I was freelance writer for dailies in mandarin and english. I was product researcher for a direct selling company. I’ve always have an interests in cars. Despite the news, i still think Jeremy was a good host minus the fists. Currently m a single mum of 2 residing in Malacca. I’ve always love to write. But i need to know more specifically in what u’re looking for in a writer. If u think i somewhat fit what you’re looking for, do drop me a mail. Thanks a mil!
With due respect,
Ellie
As a car enthusiast and freelance writer, I’m very interested in this job. I’ve been running the Fuelgarden sites, which is on Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, & Tumblr, for a few years now and got the chance to write a few articles on those sites to hone my writing skills. Getting to write just about anything that have to do with cars sounds like a really cool job, especially to a petrolhead like me whose been around cars since I was young and I’ve even studied at a local automotive college.
