Petronas LubeCare – 6 months’ insurance and car breakdown service with every purchase of Syntium

Petronas LubeCare launch

Petronas has introduced a new loyalty programme for its Syntium range of engine oils, catered both to workshops and to regular consumers servicing their cars at those workshops. Dubbed LubeCare, it offers personal accident insurance and car breakdown/emergency services to those who buy the lubricants at participating outlets.

How does this work? Simply purchase a four-litre bottle of Petronas Syntium 800, 3000 and 7000, register via SMS and you’ll be entitled to six month’s PA coverage worth RM22,500 (including RM10,000 for accidental death and another RM10,000 for permanent disablement).

The package also includes six months’ LubeCare Auto Assistant (LCAA) – the latter includes 24-hour roadside repair, 24-hour towing, free battery delivery, emergency medical assistance and information transmission to the nearest family member, car rental assistance and legal advisory services.

Customers are then covered for another six months when they purchase another bottle, which essentially means that the maximum period of coverage is one year. It’s not as simple as that, however; there are only 8,000 policies available to all Petronas LubeXpert and contract workshops – the number of packages offered to each workshop varies depending on the quantity of purchase – and it’s all on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Use Petronas like wearing Rain Coat. Protection. So your car won’t die half way.

Promoting the usage of ‘Lube’ to ‘protect’. Fyi, most ‘plastics’ these days also come with a small amount of ‘Lube’ for better performance and efficiency.

They also mentioned its not as simple as that, since the Petronas LubeXpert (holy cow they even put an X!) only have 8000 policies on hand. So its pretty much a first ‘come’ first ‘serve’ basis.

What a tempting proposition…Oh i’ll ‘come’ alright…and get mah’self some more lube while im at it.

Note: First and second guy from the left have already tried the lube. Third guy not yet me thinks. :3

Hmmm I rather have them cover my car’s breakdowns rather than PA…its like saying by using Petronas oils you are in deeper shit than the rest so here we give you PA!
