If you like how the fourth-generation Lexus RX looks in a TRD bodykit, then you’ll probably like what JDM tuners Modellista, have done. The RX 200t here has been dressed from front to back and in addition to that, to complete that sharp stance, it also features lowered springs. It bears a slight resemblance to the Lexus LX 570’s Modellista bodykit, don’t you think?
Round the front, the RX is fitted with a sharp front spoiler with a metallic colour that matches the outer trim of the spindle grille’s lower section. On the side, the skirts feature a black strip that accompanies the lower metallic L-shaped piece. The back gets a low-profile, rear spoiler and a quad-pipe exhaust.
Modellista’s customisations also allows for the RX to sit closer to the tarmac, thanks to optional lowdown springs. Save for the sports exhaust, no other powertrain mods come with this package though, so expect to find the new 2.0 turbocharged engine, producing the same 235 hp and 350 Nm of torque.
In Japan, the price of the Lexus RX starts from 4,950,000 yen (RM175,500). The kit from Modellista, comprising front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler and sport exhausts, retails for 421,200 yen (RM14,940). The other two items, which can also be opted for include a backdoor styling plate priced at 34,560 yen (RM1,230) while the lowered springs go for 43,200 yen (RM1,540) for one coil.
