A few days after teasing its new W205 C-Class Cabriolet in sketch form, Mercedes-Benz is back with another teaser of the soft-top. This time however, we get to see the car in the metal, although only part of it, as it joins the rest of the current C-Class range for a family portrait.
Not much of a surprise at this point, as we’ve already sighted an undisguised test mule of the C-Class Cabriolet back in December 2015. This was followed by sightings of the C 43 Cabriolet (pictured below) and AMG C 63 Cabriolet prototypes earlier in February 2016. Therefore, don’t expect a radical redesign when the car makes its expected debut in Geneva next month.
What could be a surprise debut though is the white C-Class Coupe seen in the teaser. The car seen here could very well be the Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe, essentially the two-door version of the Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG 4Matic Sedan from January 2015.
The C 450 is part of Mercedes-Benz’s AMG Sport range, packing a sportier chassis and a more potent powertrain that the standard car, that’s just shy of a full-blown AMG model (C 63). The C 450 gets a 3.0 litre twin-turbo V6 that delivers 362 hp and 518 Nm of torque, mated to a 7G-Tronic gearbox and 4Matic all-wheel drive exclusively.
It has been speculated that Mercedes-Benz will introduce a new nomenclature standard for its vehicles, which will see the end of the Mercedes-AMG Sport models. This move is said to start with the introduction of the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43, and will trickle down to other Mercedes-Benz models in the future. That will mean models such as the C 450 AMG and GLE 450 AMG could be renamed to the Mercedes-AMG C 43 and AMG GLE 43.

It seems like every other week Mercedes comes out with a new model or a “new version.” I can’t keep anymore, they should just go back to the basics.
Proton also the same. Everyday Tun will make press statement. But nothing comes out of it. But the real CEO will hide under Tun’s sarong.
The cabriolet looks rather unappetizing
