G-Power Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe, plug-play 705 PS

G-Power has revealed its tuning programme for the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe, a change of pace from the usual string of tuned BMW vehicles that it is synonymous with.

For just 5,589 euros (RM25,236), G-Power will install its own Bi-Tronik 5 V1 plug-and-play performance module. While it may not seem like a lot in the way of modifications, it is enough to bump the luxo barge’s 5.5 litre biturbo V8 to 705 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque.

That is certainly a whole lot more than the standard car’s 585 PS and 900 Nm. Because of this, the car’s 0-100 km/h time now takes just 3.8 seconds compared to 3.9 seconds for the unmodified car. Furthermore, the G-Power S 63 will now hit a top speed of 330 km/h with its speed limiter (250 km/h) removed.

The best part is, once you’re ‘tired’ of playing around with all that power, the car can be returned to its stock self by removing the module. Even if it’s still installed, the car’s engine protection and diagnosis functions are retained, with factory software updates not conflicting with the power kit.

As for the visuals, G-Power has decided to keep things simple, so there aren’t any outlandish bodykits or rear wing to announce the beast under the hood. Instead, the tuner house merely offers forged wheels in 21- and 23-inch sizes, made of lightweight 6061 grade aluminium, and available in a variety of colours and finishes.
