It took a bit longer than usual to arrive, but here is the Brabus GLE 700 — a Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 with the added Brabus performance. Having already delivered on the GLE Coupe, Brabus has diverted its attention to the regular SUV, turbocharging it up to a whopping 700 PS.
The AMG GLE 63’s 5.5 litre biturbo V8 has been left in its place, but now produces 700 PS (690 hp) and 960 Nm of torque – significantly more than the GLE 63 S’ 585 hp and 760 Nm. As such, the Brabus GLE 700 goes from zero to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 300 km/h.
The tuning house claims that it the GLE 63’s added performance come from a pair of new turbochargers which have larger compressor units and a special Gold Heat Reflection sheath over the intake pipes to cool the immense heat in the cabin.
But, this is Brabus, after all, and the madness doesn’t end there. A special “850” package is available to customers who want more, and yes, power is increased 850 PS (838 hp). Its max torque rises to 1,450 Nm, contributing to the faster zero to 100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds and increased 320 km/h top speed.
As you can tell, Brabus has also left its mark on the exterior of the vehicle, adding several carbon-fibre aerodynamic improvements. This includes a more aggressive-looking front bumper and lip and a massive rear diffuser. Standard wheels are a set of humble 17-inch rollers, but options go up to 23-inch alloys.
What’s the base price for all this madness? Try 244,246 euros (RM1.1 million).
