Filling up the car at a petrol station is what normal people do. Bentley owners aren’t normal people – they get normal people to do the tasks normal people do, for them. Now, Bentley owners never need to step into the forecourt of a petrol station again; fuel will be delivered to them.
The British luxury carmaker has announced a collaborative trial with an American tech start-up Filld – a mobile app-based fuel-delivery service – as part of its on-going Connected Car strategy. The app-based ‘Filld for Bentley’ service will initially be available to customers in California.
All the Bentley customer needs to do is simply open the Filld for Bentley app, choose a delivery time, and their fuel will be delivered wherever and whenever they require. Customers don’t even need to dirty their hands and unlock the fuel cap themselves, or identify the car’s exact location as this is done for them. Securely, the carmaker added.
The two companies foresee additional benefits in the future, including predictive fuel ordering where the car places an order for itself based on fuel level, location and customer preferences.
“Bentley ownership is about more than just the vehicle – it’s the entire luxury experience. We are continuously investigating ways in which to offer our customers tailored, convenient, smart services that afford them the greatest luxury of all: more time. Our Connected Car strategy will continue to expand and innovate in order to further enhance the Bentley lifestyle,” said Christophe Georges, Bentley’s director of product and marketing.
“Filld and Bentley share a vision for leveraging powerful connected car technology – to one day eliminate the need for customers to refuel their cars themselves, removing inconvenience, and giving them more of their valuable time back,” co-founder and CTO of Filld, Christopher Aubuchon added.
I don’t get it, how is filling up such a hassle? Maybe that’s why I don’t have a Bentley parked downstairs…

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Good, no need to queque at the gas station.
Fuel delivery service: service must be optimal as you are servicing the rich, rich people do not like unnecessary waiting, reckless handling of vehicles during filling etc.
Alternatively, you can arrange an express lane for gas filling, where we can head straightaway to, pay on the spot and fill up our tanks instantly without waiting, of course with extra pay (RM10 extra per filling, just like premium toilets).
Fuyoh!!!
Premium lot for gas filling must have comfortable space and caring efficient staff.
Why deliver? The rich already have drivers to fill up for them.
Probably for people who don’t like to have drivers, or people who like driving themselves. Either way, it is for people who don’t like going to gas stations.
Ahaa… VW can start such service. Only for mont kiara. Who knows sales will increase.
