Ferrari 812 Superfast teased ahead of Malaysian debut

Naza Italia is poised to introduce the new Ferrari 812 Superfast in Malaysia, based on a posting on its official Facebook page. The most Superfast first made its global debut in February, packing a massive 6.5 litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine.

The powerplant outputs 800 PS (789 hp) and 718 Nm of torque, which is more than the F12tdf’s 6.3 litre V12 (770 hp and 705 Nm). A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox sends drive to the rear wheels, and results in a zero to 100 km/h time of just 2.9 seconds.

The Superfast comes equipped with version 5.0 of Side Slip Control (SSC) to ensure powersliding remains enjoyable and not scary, as well as the second generation Virtual Short Wheelbase (PCV), the brand’s four-wheel steering system.

Along with a totally revamped body that aids in aerodynamic efficiency, the Superfast also comes with a special paint finish called Rosso Settanta (roughly translated to “red 70”). This is meant to correlate with Ferrari’s 70th anniversary since its first V12-powered car, the 125 S, made its debut.

Rich people will buy this but they will try to cheat on road tax. Instead of paying gomen RM18,000 for a 6300 cc car, they get from Sabah and Sarawak road tax for RM2k to be used in Semenanjung.

  • Ferrari somehow isn’t as eye-catching as it used to be. Back in the day, the car without the prancing horse logo itself would stand out.

‘Superfast’. Now that’s a dumb name no matter what segment you’re in.

800PS from a 6.5L V12 N.A street car engine sounds quite staggering considering reliability & exhaust emission compliance that it needs to achieve. This could be the last breed of the N.A V12 from Ferrari, hopefully not. Non-hybrid hypercar sounds more interesting..

The ferarri 789hp superfast car come with auto transmission. But Honda Type R fans say this ferarri is not a supercar/sportcar. Only Honda type R is real sport car and for real man because still using outdated shift stick ha ha ha. The fact is Honda Engineer has no idea how to install dual cluth auto for 300hp civic, as the car will become heavy.. Honda still lack of technology…

You’d still bother replying to somebody who compared Type R to Ferraris? That’s fascinating

OMG. If U have something good to say about this 812 Ferrari, please proceed. Why use this opportunity to bash a Honda when it has nothing to do with Big H??!

FYI, Honda engines have won many F1 titles including The all-conquering Honda RA168-E V6 turbo used in the McLaren MP4/4 in 1988. McLaren-Honda claimed 15 pole positions in the 16 races.
