The 2018 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) will see the debut of the fifth-generation Subaru Forester, which is being teased here.
Based on the sole image presented, the Forester will feature C-shaped taillights that are already present on the fourth-generation (SJ) model. On the new car, they appear a lot more dynamic than before and occupy a smaller footprint as well.
Expect the front headlamps to follow a similar theme, while the rest of the design may be largely inspired by the Viziv Future Concept from the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The Subaru Global Platform, which is already used for the latest Impreza and XV, will underpin the upcoming SUV model.
The brand’s four-cylinder boxer engines (including hybrid), CVT and Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system will likely feature on the Forester as well, along with a range of EyeSight driver assistance and safety systems. More details will be revealed when the new Forester debuts on March 28 in New York.

Seriously i dont get it, its not a nice looking car… pretty boring design to be honest. CRV & CX5 are miles better in terms of design.
Forester is never about the design LOL
This will be one of the best SUV at that price range. The current model is already very strong in handling, smooth drive, NVH and safety features, expect the new model to be much better. Hopefully it will arrive here within 2018. MI, please bring in soonest.
