Entering 2019, Boon Siew Honda Malaysia is introducing new colours for two models, the 2019 Honda Wave Alpha and 2019 Honda Beat scooter. The Wave Alpha kapchai with spoked wheels comes in black, blue or red and is priced at RM4,275.
Meanwhile the cast wheels version retails for RM4,516 and is available in black, blue or yellow. As for the Beat scooter, priced at RM5,365, there are four colour options to choose from – red, magenta, blue or black.
Aside from the new colour options, there are no changes to the specifications for either Honda two-wheeler. The Wave Alpha comes with a 109.1 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder mill with four-speed gear box and produces 8.3 hp at 7,500 rpm and 8.59 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
Touted to be a fuel efficient commuter, the Wave Alpha has a 3.7-litre fuel tank. There is a small under seat storage space and starting is with either electric or kick start.
As for the Beat scooter, which entered the Malaysian market in 2016, it is powered by a 108.2 cc engine with low friction technology fed by PGM-Fi. The Beat produces 8.77 PS at 7,500 rpm and 9.14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, weighing in at 94 kg and 4-litre fuel capacity.
Other features on the Beat are Combined Braking System, Smart Lock System that holds the brakes when the engine is started and Side Stand Switch that switches off the engine when the stand is down.
