April 2019 week four fuel price – RON 97 up once more

Another Friday, another weekly fuel price update. No joy for RON 97 petrol users, because the fuel is going up once more, and this time it’s quite a jump.

As of tomorrow, April 20, RON 97 will be priced at RM2.80 per litre (up 12 sen from its RM2.68 last week). There’s of course no change in the price of RON 95 petrol, which continues to be pegged at RM2.08 per litre, the maximum price consumers pay no matter whether high market prices push pump prices beyond that.

Likewise, the pegged Euro 2M diesel continues to be priced at RM2.18 per litre, while Euro 5 diesel – which is always 10 sen more – is at RM2.28 per litre. The government says that without the price cap in place, RON 95 petrol would cost RM2.50 per litre, while diesel would be priced at RM2.46 per litre based on Automatic Price Mechanism (APM) calculations.

These prices will remain in effect until April 26, when the next set of fuel pricing adjustments will be announced. This is the 16th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format, which is announced every Friday, and takes effect from Saturday until the following Friday.

Is that true? No. Lets see.

Oil prices in 2015 were around RM 1.70-1.80/L. Yet economist worldwide were not predicting gloom and doom as they are right now. Go watch Bloomberg’s economists views on our outlook. It is scary.

Sorry but you’re confusing the oil prices between 2015 & 2017. In 2015, crude oil prices dropped to USD$30 a barrel and that is when petrol prices hovering below Rm2.00 per litre.

Need to fund the third not needed national car project that is not needed and desired by the rakyat at all.

The third national car project is only meant to help those past chronies seeking to supply poor quality parts domestically but not internation for not having to meet the quality and standard as required.

A society doesn’t just have the poor or the rich, but also a middle class. Nobody really cares or talks about the middle class. I guess the important voters are at the bottom and the top of society

This is getting out of hand. GE15 can’t come soon enough. Real sick & tired of these price increases, essential items becoming costlier and the burden of just surviving becoming heavier. Real sick & tired of PH mismanagement.

No point the slightly higher income bracket earner pay income tax to Pakatan harapan government while the slightly lower income did not pay any income tax benefit the most from the government couple with having more children.

One day the slightly high income earners will work overseas ( left Malaysia for good) and those left behind who are majority with slightly lower income may be paying or not paying income tax that will leave Pakatan harapan coffer dry and but this group still insist to enjoy subsidy without financial contribution to the government coffer.

That D day in the making will be coming soon.

Some people : PH equals price hike. Should not have voted for them. Cost of living is very high, cannot survive.Must bring down PH. Their Ministet is stupid.

Other people : This is the price we have to pay for previous admin corruption. Its the sacrifice for the greater future.

Some other people : What, fuel price? Oh ok.

Malaysians are very funny. We love to spend, spend, and spend regardles which social status bracket we fell in. People at the lowest income bracket rides Y15, wears G-shock, ori branded cloth, always eat outside, go convoy/holiday, always change gadget….People at middle income bracket always change cars, apply personal loan to enjoy and kononnya nak buat bisnes but always fail, most of the time dunno where theie money go….People at high income bracket is well…just rich and do what they want.

One thing we always agree on. Price must remain the same forever or we will make noise for some time then we just keep quiet forever.

You got that wrong. Price must be frozen or reduced. This is what was promised during GE14. All we see are prices going up. Promises not kept. So of course everyone gets angry except the middlemen and cronies.

Venezuela still have vast untapped ground water source. They don’t have a drought problem like what we have so often nowadays. So our lives are more desperate as we can’t even secure life essential resource like continuous water supply.

At least RON95 fixed at 2.08 instead of 2.20 previously.. for those whiners, please check Brent Oil Price and understand how much petrol had gone up since 0509!
