Shell Malaysia launches Ferrari car collectibles – two new models every 2 weeks until Sept 8, RM15.90 each

Shell Malaysia today officially introduced its Ferrari car collectible campaign, which runs from July 1 to September 8. During this period, a selection of eight Ferrari scale models will be available exclusively at all Shell stations nationwide.

All you have to do is pump RM30 in a single receipt to purchase a scale Ferrari collectible, which is priced at RM15.90 each. Two models will be released every two weeks.

The eight different models each represent a distinctive decade in the Prancing Horse’s history. The ’50s is represented by the 250 Testa Rossa, followed by the iconic 250 GTO from the early ’60s. Next, there’s the 365 GTB/4, also known as the Daytona, of which production ran from the late ’60s to early ’70s.

The homage to the ’80s comes in the form of the 288 GTO from 1984, followed by the F50 from the mid-90s. Moving into the current millennium, there’s the 430 Scuderia from 2007 and the 488 Spider, which came about in 2015, and the collection is rounded off by the SF71H Formula 1 race car from last season.

The first two cars in the collection to go on sale were the 365 GTB/4 and 488 Spider, on July 1. The next two cars will be the 250 Testa Rossa and the 430 Scuderia, and they will be available from July 14.

This will be followed by the 250 GTO and 288 GTO, the duo making their way to the stores on July 28. Finally, the F50 and SF71H racer will make their debut on August 11.

Completing the collection is a limited-edition hauler truck model, which is designed to display two Ferrari car collectibles. Customers who purchase a four-litre pack of Shell Helix Ultra will get it for free, but you can also buy it outright for RM99.90.

To commemorate the launch of the collection, a combination of roadshows and pop-ups will be running at major malls across the country for 10 weeks. Customers who visit these roadshows will be treated to the Shell ShowVroom, a gallery dedicated to the eight models in this campaign, which showcases dioramas detailing their respective history and distinctive backgrounds, as well as information on the much-celebrated partnership between Shell and Ferrari.

Customers will also receive a RM5 rebate when they spend a minimum of RM50 at Shell with their Touch ‘n Go e-wallet, while a 5% cash back is available with a minimum of 3x accumulative spending worth RM150 via Maybank Debit Card.

I get 5% cash back each time when I refuel with Maybank Amex card. I don’t need to accumulate 3x times to get that. Stupid promo for useless payment methods.

Last time, when I was young, my father bought me a good quality of Ferrari Toys and LEGO Toys. Also, all the time, my parents use Shell. But as for present, my parents and I have already decided to pump at Petron because the Petron Quality is good and have better promotions than Shell. Unlike Shell, nowadays, they give us the lousy product of Ferrari Toy of 488 Spyder which had just happen recently. Even Shell is less power than Petron after I already tested
