Puspakom closed for 5 days for Raya hols, from today

Those who plan to use Puspakom services soon, take note. All Puspakom inspection centres nationwide will be closed for a couple of days for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. This year’s Raya will probably fall on Wednesday, depending on the anak bulan sighting.

Puspakom centres will be closed from 1pm today, April 9. In Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Johor, inspection centres will reopen on April 14 due to the different work week in those four states. Elsewhere in the country, Puspakom centres will reopen on April 12.

Puspakom says that inspection fees will be refunded if there’s no record of utilisation or rescheduling of appointments. Contact Puspakom at 03-51017000 for more info.

Antony Loke should take a look at Puspakom centers all over the nation instead of selling number plates.
I observed the below when i took my ehailing car for inspection.
    1. Work starts at 8.00 am, but commercial vehicles(buses, lorries, pick ups, vans) are already queuing up since 6.30 am with the engines running.
    2. Puspakom staff have their taklimat at 8.00 am and only start the actual inspection work around 8.20 am.
    3. 1pm-2pm lunch time, again commercial vehicles are queued up, with engines running.
    4. So much time and petrol is wasted in queuing up and waiting for the inspection.
Why cant puspakom start work early at 7.00 pm and continue working thorugh out lunch time( like banks and post offices do)
Commercial vehicles should be on the road delivering logistic services, not queuing up for inspection.
Yes, they need to be inspected but the onus is on puspakom not to delay it!!

I hope Paul Tan.org brings this up the Antony loke!!
