Road tax calculator
Petrol, diesel and hybrid cars are taxed by engine capacity — with a cheaper schedule for saloons (sedan, hatchback, coupé, wagon) than for SUVs, MPVs and pick-ups, cheaper rates again in Sabah and Sarawak, and a 50% discount above 1,000 cc on Pangkor, Langkawi and Labuan. EVs are taxed by motor output instead, nationwide. Elsewhere on this site, road tax figures are quoted for Peninsular Malaysia, private registration.
