Audi CBU Cars New Pricelist

These are the new post-NAP prices for Audi cars in Malaysia sold by Euromobil Sdn Bhd, last updated on the 8th of August 2006. The prices have gone up across the model range except for the flagship Audi A8 models, but this is expected since the NAP tax rates disfavour CBU cars coming in from non-ASEAN countries. Audi will be adding the new Audi TT as well as the Audi Q7 7-seater SUV to it’s line-up next year.

tbcheese,
RM3k more doesn’t get you the same engine and gearbox.
The A4 2.0 is non-FSI and a multitronic (CVT in Audi lingo).
The A3 2.0 FSI has FSI (direct injection) and a 6-speed tiptronic.

That’s odd. If they’re selling the B6 or B7 A4 then the 2l engine should be FSI. I’ve looked at the previous models and it doesn’t seem that Audi used the old VW 2l engine before at all. That’s the engine that was in the new beetle.

Oops got the blockquote wrong.
Anyway here’s a photo of the TT mk2 as the Le Mans safety car

how Audi going to compete with BMW & Mercedes????
in terms of design, Audi little behind both marque.
plus, in Audi not much state-of-the-art features.
plus, the 3-series & new C-class sure going to kick Audi A4 out of the competition.
2006 e-class & 5-series = A6 sales quite good.. but not as good as BMW/MB
new s-class & 2006 7-series = A8

KingKong. Better do your research on the true state of competition between Audi, BMW and Mercedes. True, for many Malaysians, Audi is not as well known and many are ignorant of the technology and quality of the cars. But for the matured car markets like the UK and Germany for example, Audi is the top one or two. For example, Audi overtook Mercedes in the UK and is running neck and neck with BMW. In Germany, Audi is a favorite among the car journalists and public winning numerous awards and magazine comparisons over BMW and Mercedes.

B7 A4 2.0 non-turbo does not come with FSI. Silly IMO. It is the new 16V 2.0 engine in the VAG stable but without the direct petrol injection and turbo, not the 8V 2.0 litre block in older VAG cars.
EM has since phased that engine out with the 1.8T.
August 23, 2006 @ 4:33 pm
wow cool vee. didn’t realise they came out with a new non-fsi 2.0. but the 1.8T is still being used.

yala kingkong…i agree wit chun…dun jz c in m’sian market only…worldwide audi is damn good…even can kick d ass of merc and beemer…they can compete wit the both 2…only in m’sia gt a typical ppl which only c beemer and merc if theyre rich…IMO…in term of dsg…audi is a way ahead of those 2 marques…really bold and sexy dsg…not like merc and beemer…org tua punye dsg….
August 23, 2006 @ 11:23 pm
chun, you’re right but i’m talking about the situation in Malaysia, not overseas.
Audi sales worldwide boost by pricing advantage. Audi still the cheapest compared to BMW/MB. in UK/EU, the price slighty cheaper for about 1500 pounds.
Yes, Audi catching up very fast with tremendous sales growth about 8%-10%.
but with the new 3-series coupe, X5 & facelift-X3.. BMW will stay ahead of the league. Beside, Mercedes Benz sales will boost with the new C-class,
S-class & CL-class.
Audi sales could decline if Audi failed to offers better car just like what happened to BMW in Q1 2006. Audi A2, A6, & A8 sales declined between 4%-8%.
2006 worldwide sales (January- July)
Audi – 463,500 cars
BMW – 683,724 cars
MB – 627,300 cars
for now, Audi could smile with their current line-up but in future they will face the same problem as BMW suffered. Audi should not use the same bodyline and basic-design element on its all model. BMW did this before Chris Bangle joined BMW.
Even a lot of people hate him, but the sales still growing.

Audi has priced themselves out of the market. BTW the
Audi A4 2.0 Multitronic – FSI engine
Audi A4 2.0T Multitronic – TFSI engine.
Many reviews in auto magazines attest to this.

Kingkong, worldwide sales drop, a good example is Malaysia.. Ppl go for BMW and Mercs.
For me, I’ll go for Audi for sure..
August 24, 2006 @ 1:07 pm
In Malaysia, Audi A4 2.0 multitronic is not FSI – just plain EFI – these apply to all 2.0 multitronic sold officially by EM. Some mag review Singapore’s A4 2.0 non-turbo FSI model.
Now, EM plans to market its newly-launched B7 A4 1.8T instead of importing/introducing the 2.0 multitronic FSI model locally.

i agree wit some of ur facts…btw…typical ppl will choose merc and beemer coz they are class leader…coz theyre far ahead in term of technology…but…4 me…techno, comfort etc im looking for…but the important thing and priority for me is the design…and..audi gt a complete package 4 that…still gt a tech and comfort like wut both 2 gt…d advantage of the audi is their design which didnt gt frm the both 2…so…for this trio…ill go for audi…

Audi is on a major model offensive for the next 2 -3 years. KingKong, you mentioned that BMW has their new 3 series coupe, new X5 and facelifted X3. Audi is going to launch their new TT and Q7 soon. The R8 is coming next year and so is the new A4. On the contrary, Audi has a raft of new models coming online. Audi’s have always had a strong design language which is recently gotten more aggressive under Walter Maria de’Silva.

If only A4s handle as well as they look. The A4 cars may be well-built and all that but if you take it into a curve you’ll realise why BMW and Merc are better handlers
