Hamilton’s MP4-24 F1 car is a paintbrush

What happens when you take two canvasses, lots of Akzonobel Sikken paint (1,200 liters to be exact), and a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 car and put them all together? Well depending on how artsy fartsy you are, it’s either art or a terrible waste of good paint. Seems to be a common theme these days, creating art with paintings done by a car in motion, like the one by BMW with the Z4.

gotta be the lamest art of the year……
June 28, 2009 @ 12:51 pm
the final result looks brilliant…
June 28, 2009 @ 1:06 pm
That piece of canvas is worth at least couple of hundreds of grand now simply because of all the logistical effort put in to produce it. Not too sure about the artistic value because I’m not an arts person.
June 28, 2009 @ 1:44 pm
Dont those paint will gonna spoil the car? I mean they use a 10million build car just to run over those color less than few mins or secs? I don really believe that is a real F1 car..
Moreover setting up those equipment + man-power does not come cheap. There goes their money, cant they have better idea to spend that money?? Come one la.. donate some $$$ to less-fortune kids around the world or develop new affortable merc cars…
June 28, 2009 @ 2:02 pm
WTH… Stupid art, stupid Ad.
June 28, 2009 @ 3:54 pm
Stupid Mat Saleh.
June 28, 2009 @ 4:23 pm
without hamilton’s outstanding performance like 2007 debut year and champion year 2008, F1is like a scrap race….very boring and not attractive anymore…
martin mclaren principle must utilize the hamilton’s incredible talent to attract ppl to circuit……
June 28, 2009 @ 5:41 pm
Next thing you know, they’ll try to flush a toilet with an F1 car.
Stupid gimmick.
June 28, 2009 @ 7:23 pm

June 28, 2009 @ 8:04 pm

June 29, 2009 @ 12:25 am
Oh! It’s stupid, it’s sickening!
June 29, 2009 @ 8:49 am
BMW better
June 29, 2009 @ 10:35 am
It’s never a waste of time or money on these kind of things for them. It’s an advertisement and all of you saw it. So, it’s a success. All the sponsors Mobil, SAP, Vodafone, Santander, Bridgestone, Sikkens, etc. all got their fair share of air time. If the car is not getting enough air time on races, then they gotta do something about it to please their sponsors.

already watch this video last week… but what’s the point? burn money
June 30, 2009 @ 4:26 pm
