The iconic BMW GS is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and BMW Motorrad takes the opportunity to offer a special “30 Years GS” edition, an exclusive model to commemorate three decades of the highly successful series, which started with the R 80 G/S of 1980. The anniversary model is available for the 110 bhp R 1200 GS pictured here as well as the R 1200 GS Adventure and smaller siblings F 800 GS and F 650 GS.
Features exclusive to this anniversary edition include Alpine White non-metallic paint with three-colored decals, “30 Years GS” badging, cross-spoke wheels with their spoke rings in black epoxy finish and hand protectors. The eye catching seat is finished in red with a three-dimensional GS mark embossed on its sides. The Adventure model is fitted with a two-tone red and black seat.

wohooo
when can i get this one?
u can get it at BMW Malaysia. There’s one showroom in Cyberjaya.
Love the bike, but the seat height is too high for me…. xP
not sure on this newer GS…
but for older model of GS the seat height wasn’t too high at all….just about good height for 165cm-175cm person…
not just height, the price too is way beyond the reach of the masses. superbikes (any brand) command a super high tax here, making us one of the most expensive place to buy a bike in the whole world.
can’t it be lowered?
can’t you do something about this paul?
interesting
european bikes do look nice but are they reliable as their japanese counterparts?
Most contries in the world use BMW in their police force because of the reliablity.
Love BMW bikes, but the price…out of reach…
how much one of these cost?
bmw bikes doesn’t really suit my taste. I think i need to reach the age of 40+ to appreciate bmw bikes. For now, kawasaki and ducati is much better!
yeah…if you all notice, the “long way down” starring Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, they use this R1200GS.
Capability is for rugged terrain, the dual purpose bike is use for hardcore usage with comfort and quality in mind. Though i’m not a fan of boxer engine (cylinder heads pop out left/ride side), but sure this ride is wicked.
If i got money….perghhhh
this motorbike is always in my heart. :)
for 135K, it is beyond my affordability
this is uglier than Bimota Mantra
Paul, what will the cost of the 800 series bike? thanks
