Subaru finally exhibits their new Boxer Sports Car at the Geneva 2011 show, except it isn’t really a car they’re showing off, more of the architecture/platform underneath, which explains why their concept is called the “Boxer Sports Car Architecture” instead of some cool concept car codename. It’s a shared development with the Toyota FT-86.
There’s really nothing much to see from these images except for the drivetrain. A boxer engine is mounted at the front, then there’s a gearbox, a longshaft to the rear, which goes to an axle and drives the two rear wheels. All the suspension systems look like independent configurations.
Look after the jump for more shots of the platform.
