VIDEO: Aston Martin Vulcan to debut at Geneva 2015

Aston Martin has released a short teaser video on its upcoming model, dubbed the Vulcan, which is slated to make its public debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The clip itself gives away close to nothing except for the car’s raucous exhaust note, which to some ears, may sound a bit too hardcore for a road-going model.

Unfortunately for us, Aston Martin is playing its cards very close to its chest as details of the car remain scarce. A sliver of info, obtained by Car Advice, mentions that the Aston Martin Vulcan will most likely be a track-only special, following in the footsteps of the McLaren P1 GTR (pictured below).

Touted to arrive as the most track-oriented vehicle in the marque’s history, the Vulcan is also rumoured to be one of the most exclusive – a production run of no more than 30 units has been proclaimed. Also rumoured is a track programme that accompanies each purchase, similar to what Ferrari is offering with its FXX initiative.

With absolutely nothing set in stone, there’s also a possibility that AM could be cooking up a successor to its most recent supercar, the Aston Martin One-77. So, could the Vulcan be a track-only toy for the wealthy or a limited-edition supercar in the vein of the One-77? We’ll find out in a couple of weeks.
