Porsche 911 GT3 RS replica by Lego Technic launched

Lego Technic has just launched its latest product – the Porsche 911 GT3 RS replica. The Lego set was developed in close conjunction with Porsche AG and will be available from June 1, 2016 in stores throughout Germany and Austria. It will later be available in other stores from August 1, 2016.

Consisting of 2,704 elements, the Porsche replica comes in a bright orange shade. According to Lego, the model comes complete with sleek, aerodynamic lines and an adjustable spoiler. As for the replica’s dimensions, it measures in at 57 cm long, 25 cm wide and 17 cm high.

The 1:8 scale model also has red suspension springs, original-design rims with RS emblems, yellow brake calipers, low-profile tyres, “working” gearbox and steering wheel with gearshift paddles, sport seats and even a glove compartment with a unique model serial number.

Elsewhere, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS replica model has working doors that open up to a detailed cockpit with a dashboard. It also has an opening hood that contains a suitcase, plus a rear lid that will open up to a detailed flat-six engine with moving pistons.

In the box, the pieces of the individual assembly groups are lumped in separate packs. There’s also a full set of authentic stickers, a collector’s book with exclusive background information on the development of the real vehicle, and of course, detailed instructions to assemble the Lego replica.
