MINI Malaysia has introduced the Malaysia-only MINI John Cooper Works Pro Edition, a 20-unit limited run version of the F55 MINI Cooper S 5 Door.
Pictured here in Auto Bavaria Glenmarie, the JCW Pro Edition includes a JCW Pro aerodynamic body kit comprising a front splitter, rear bumper, rear spoiler and side skirts worth RM16,283, with a set of 18-inch, JCW Pro cross-spoke light alloys finished in Jet Black, worth RM14,858.
Mechanically, the limited-run model gains a performance-optimised engine update and a valved exhaust silencer system, worth RM10,000. This brings the B48 2.0 litre, turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine from 192 hp to 211 hp, while torque is also upped from the standard Cooper S 5 Door’s 280 Nm to 300 Nm.
The JCW Pro Edition also features a Bluetooth remote for its switchable exhaust system, which has two modes; Sport, for everyday driving, and Track, for added pops and crackles especially when it is driven hard.
The exhaust is switched by a Bluetooth 4.0 wireless controller, which allows the user to change modes with two clicks. The exhaust also includes carbon fibre trim, worth RM3,000.
