The Lexus GX is the latest vehicle in the Lexus line-up to be updated with the new Lexus spindle grille, leaving the CT 200h as the only car to soldier on without the brand’s new face. If the Lexus LX is an upmarket Toyota Land Cruiser, the Lexus GX plays the same role as a Lexus-badged companion to the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. It sits between the RX and the LX in the Lexus SUV family.
New features include standard LED headlamps and daytime running lights, a new eight-inch touchscreen display with reverse camera, and various trim changes. Not many changes under the hood – the 301 horsepower and 446 Nm 4.6 litre V8 motor paired to the six-speed automatic transmission is a carryover.

Lexus used to design handsome cars but sorry I really have to put a thumbs down for this one. It looks kinda weird from certain angles. Just my opinion though.

I was really warming up to the spindle grill design, saw a couple of IS the other day and they looked amazing, this one is just too big and turns the entire thing into a hedious monstrosity. Like Acuras, the headlight did manage to spice up the rather dull design all round but it just worsen that whole spindle grill effect. NO, its hedious, but at least it is better than Toyota’s veriant.

This is an example of a Toyota Land Cruiser on Anabolic Steriods. What’s happened to Toyota nowadays? First the ugly duckling Prado facelift, and now another ugly facelift from its sister company Lexus. I’m really speechless and ran out of adjectives to express my dissapointment over Toyota’s efforts in producing decent cars. Then again, maybe the word “Pathetic” works just fine on Toyota. Cheers!

Recent IS GS and LS simply looks amazing, but spindle grill can’t work on a boxy shape car.
