Peugeot Fractal concept leaked – an electric roadster?

Peugeot Fractal concept 3a

French automaker Peugeot has been pretty busy working on this pretty-looking roadster it seems – leaked images reveal the Peugeot Fractal concept with its top down, and we must say it looks like quite a car. While not much technical details have been disclosed – actually none at all – reports regarding the little hatch-cum-droptop indicate that it will be electrically-powered.

Taking on similar design cues from the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo concept, the cluster of LEDs in the headlights make that open-top that much more striking. The two-tone scheme akin to the 308 GTi – in white and black, this time – has also been applied to the roadster, while the rear lights run across the back in a strip as can be seen in the teaser videos.

Inside, those bizarre seats sport a very minimalistic design along with the centre console which has a tablet neatly fitted in the middle, while that square-shaped steering wheel seems to be F1 inspired – albeit with touch-sensitive buttons. No gear stick, can be seen here; however, in its place are buttons on both sides of the console with the letters ‘L’, ‘R’ and ‘P.’

If one looks closely at the meter cluster, the concept car has a full digital display; look even closer and one will notice the digits ‘62%’ and a little battery shape on the lower right-hand side, so guesses are that this might either be a hybrid or Peugeot’s first attempt at an all-electric sports car. The Fractal concept will make an appearance at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, happening soon.
