Mercedes-Benz becomes part of the Justice League

For the upcoming Justice League movie, Bruce Wayne/Batman and company will get behind the wheel of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The carmaker recently announced its partnership with the latest instalment of DC Extended Universe (DCEU) recently, as part of a substantial marketing campaign around the movie’s theatrical release.

So, what can you expect to see in Justice League? For starters, there’s the AMG Vision Gran Turismo that was revealed to the world in 2013, which will be driven by none other than Bruce Wayne (played by Ben Affleck) himself.

Joining the concept is the E-Class Cabriolet with Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot) behind the wheel, as she heads out on a mission to speak with Victor Stone/Cyborg (played by Ray Fisher). There’s also the G-Class 4×4² that is said to play an integral role in the movie.

“With Justice League, we found the perfect partner to highlight our current vehicles as well as communicate the fascination of our brand. The E-Class Cabriolet is a natural fit for Wonder Woman. And who other than Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, would be more inclined to drive a car like the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo?” said Jens Thiemer, vice president marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars.

“As a designer you have to create fantasy, so we often get inspired by the film industry. I am excited that this time, the film industry was inspired by us and our Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo became the car for a super hero. Extreme proportions, sensual contours amd intelligently implemented high tech blend to form a breathtaking body and the perfect car for Bruce Wayne,” added Gordon Wagener, chief design officer at Daimler AG.

Aside from the cars and activations on social media, Mercedes-Benz will also publish six exclusive digital comic stories on its Instagram channels, developed in cooperation with DC‘s Custom Creative Studio.

Justice League will be released in Malaysia on November 16, 2017, and will also star Henry Cavill (Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman), Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry/Aquaman), Ezra Miller (Barry Allen/The Flash), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Ciaran Hinds (Steppenwolf) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor).
