Rolls-Royce recently confirmed that its upcoming SUV would be called the Cullinan, named after the Cullinan Diamond, the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever found. Safe to say, the company is pretty familiar with the concept of luxury, and understands what its customers want.
In the case of the Cullinan, that means having the “best seat in the house,” which is exactly what the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Viewing Suite is for. As the company explains, it is part of “a suite of features only the designers, craftspeople and artisans at the Home of Rolls-Royce can imagine and create.”
So, what exactly is this Viewing Suite then? Well, the Cullinan is claimed to be a pretty capable off-roading vehicle, which allows it to reach places offering breathtaking vistas. To ensure its customers are able enjoy the moment in ultimate luxury, the Viewing Suite features two rear-facing leather chairs with an accompanying cocktail table in the SUV’s rear compartment.
Should your Cullinan be more of at home in an urban environment, the Viewing Suite can also be used to view a sports event or even watch your children take part in their school sports day. The latter comes with the bonus of making other parents jealous of your motor car.
Another plus point of the Viewing Suite is its effortless deployment, requiring just a touch of button for it to be automatically deployed. Honestly, would you have expected a Rolls-Royce customer to lug around foldable furniture that requires some assembly?
Rolls-Royce claims this approach “is a first for both the automotive and luxury industries and comes from a deep understanding of the lifestyles and expectations of the most demanding clients in the world” – its own. “It is a beautiful piece of furniture. Indeed, it is the best seat in the house,” says Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO of Rolls-Royce.
