PLUS has announced all maintenance work that requires road closures on its highways will be temporarily stopped from May 5-13. This is to allow for smoother traffic flow in conjunction with the 14th Malaysian general election.
In an official release, the highway concessionaire stated the move covers all highway pavement works and lane closures except emergency works and accidents. Motorists are also advised to plan their journey in advance, and can enjoy free coffee at selected rest areas on May 8 from 10pm onwards.
Last week, it was revealed that PLUS will be offering a 20% to Class 1 highway users who use selected highways. Meanwhile, other highway concessionaires are offering discounts for those who travel on polling day.
