A90 Toyota GR Supra by AC Schnitzer – 3.0L straight-six tuned to 400 hp, 600 Nm; adjustable RS suspension

Famed BMW aftermarket tuner, AC Schnitzer, has finally tinkered with the A90 Toyota GR Supra. It’s the first ever Toyota model the tuning company has ever laid its hands on (no prizes for those who guessed why), offering tailor-made, race-tested upgrades that are backed with a three-year warranty.

First of all, the B58B30 3.0 litre straight-six engine gets uprated to produce 400 PS and 600 Nm of torque. That is 60 PS and 100 Nm more than the factory tune, but the company hasn’t revealed the new 0-100 km/h sprint time. Just to refresh your memory, the standard Supra manages the century sprint in 4.3 seconds, and top speed is capped at 250 km/h.

The exhaust has also been given an upgrade, featuring AC Schnitzer’s WLTP-tested silencer that’s available in either carbon sport or anodised black finishes. From the video below, the exhaust sound appears to have been amplified, which is always a good thing.

Elsewhere, the wheels have been upsized from factory-fitted 19-inch units to 20-inch lightweight hoops, available in two designs and four colours. The front wheels are shod with 255/30 tyres, while the rear gets 275/30 series rubbers.

Those who like the standard car’s suspension setup can opt for a simple spring swap, which lowers the car by 15 mm. However, AC Schnitzer also offers its RS coilover suspension, which is an infinitely height-adjustable system with adjustable rebound and compression parameters. This lowers the car by 25 mm, and the company says it still provides high residual spring travel and good driving comfort.

The Supra also gets aerodynamically enhanced with a front splitter and fixed carbon-fibre GT spoiler. The bonnet vents with carbon inserts are purely for racing purposes only, while items such as the AC Schnitzer emblems and license plate holder can be had as well. Inside, the cabin gets new aluminium trims, covering items like the shift paddles, foot pedals, foot rest, key holder and iDrive cover.

I know I’m wrong but i prefer the A80-style wing over a functional one by AC Schnitzer. Purely aesthetic.
