With electrification comes advances in technology, and a battery-electric vehicle line-up like the Audi Q8 e-tron range comes packed with innovations, in addition to zero tailpipe-emissions motoring, and the latest offers from Audi Malaysia now makes Q8 e-tron ownership even more accessible.
Two powertrain specifications and two bodystyles come together to make four available options in the Audi Q8 e-tron line-up, starting with the aforementioned Q8 e-tron 50 from RM299,990, the Q8 Sportback e-tron 50 from RM319,990, the Q8 e-tron 55 from RM373,990, and the Q8 Sportback e-tron 55 from RM382,990.
Depicted here is a duo that showcases each powertrain and bodystyle – the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50, and the Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55. Starting with the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50, this brings exterior kit including LED headlamps and LED combination tail lamps, high-beam assist, and the High Gloss styling package.
Going for the sportier aesthetic in the Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55 brings a heightened level of equipment, too, here featuring Digital Matrix LED headlamps and LED rear combination lamps, Singleframe projector lighting, virtual exterior mirrors, panoramic glass sunroof, front and rear door entrance LED projector lights, and Audi Sport 21-inch alloys.
Both feature dual-motor powertrains to provide quattro all-wheel-drive, at varying output levels, with the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50 offering 340 PS and 664 Nm that enables a 0-100 km/h time of six seconds, while the Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55 packing 408 PS and the same peak torque output, for 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
Not only does the Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55 here offer stronger accelerative performance, it brings greater battery range, too, with a 114 kWh battery that offers up to 594 km on the NEDC test cycle, up from the already useful 95 kWh battery in the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50 that offers up to 491 km of range (NEDC).
Fast charging in the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50 is supported at up to 150 kW DC, while the Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55 can take up to 170 kW DC. Where the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50 gets an 11 kW AC onboard charger, the Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55 steps it up further with a 22 kW AC onboard charger.
Each deliver their Germanic good looks in subtly different ways, with the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50 wearing 20-inch alloy wheels, while the Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55 is specified with a more assertive set of 21-inch alloys. In either variant, you’ll get technology-augmented comfort and handling, thanks to adaptive air suspension in both, with the S line-kitted Sportback gaining a Sport tune to its ride.
Inside, the Q8 e-tron Advanced 50 gets a leather-trimmed interior with a leatherette upper dashboard section, with glossy black operating buttons with haptic feedback and aluminium look interior trim.
The Q8 Sportback e-tron S line 55 gains the even sportier S line kit, bringing Valcona leather, scuff plates with illuminated aluminium inserts in the front and rear. The driver will see the S line presence front and centre, with the sports contour 3-spoke flat-bottomed leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel with shift paddles.
