Lexus teases sketch of upcoming C-Premium

It looks like Lexus is getting real serious about upping its presence in the European market. Here’s an official teaser sketch of the upcoming Lexus C-Premium hatchback, the first ever visual indication of how the new A3/1-Series competitor from Lexus will look like.
The new Lexus C-Premium is rumoured to be called the Lexus CT, since the Japanese luxury car maker trademarked that name not too long ago. The names trademarked were the CT 200h, the CT 300h and the CT 400h. The h suffix on all the model names seems to indicate this new hatchback might be hybrid-only.
Look after the jump for some renderings by resident “automotive manipulator” Theophilus Chin on how the new Lexus hatchback might look like.

don’t be fooled. this is a concept drawing. the proportions always look super good in a concept drawing. nevertheless, it’s a positive step forward by Lexus and i look forward to seeing this in the metal! i wonder what engine options it would have though. here’s hoping there’s a hybrid version!

Serious about Europe ? Is this a joke ?
Europe is Autobahn land with a Lexus market share of 2%…
In Europe, Managers are driving Audi, BMW and Mercedes. Those who want to be ‘individual’ a british brand. But Lexus ?

yeah, the concept windscreen is not practical, if there is heavy rain, the wipers simply cant wipe the water away as the slope is not steep enough…

Paul,
it’s trademark & not patent..patent for technology, trademark for name…
cheers

Theophilus Chin,
Greeting!!
Hi, have anyone told you that you are not good in design?
To be honest you are nowhere better than the Savvy’s designers. Stop putting pieces of IS together and call it “RENDERING”
It is really crappy, so stop making fun of yourself by RENDERING any other concept cars.
Thank you.

I think Toyota’s dark ages are still to come:
‘Toyota skids in reliability rankings
Automaker slips to fifth from first place, and some versions of Camry, Tundra and Lexus GS no longer recommended.’

erm lexus has been no 1 for 12 time in the last 20 years in europe in jd survey…test drive reports also always state that lexus has the most comfotable ride…and lowest nvh levels…etc etc
the design above is really good…however still have to wait for the real car…=)

‘erm lexus has been no 1 for 12 time in the last 20 years in europe in jd survey…’
JD Power is a MacGraw Hill company.
And the JD survey is paid by, surprise, surprise: Toyota…
