These two may very well be the most anticipated car of 2012. Finally, after what seems to be two centuries since the Tokyo Motor Show 2011, which both cars were featured, the Subaru BRZ and the Toyota GT 86 start production last Friday, March 16.
It was a special occasion, one that was marked by a special ceremony held at Subaru’s Gunma factory in Ota-city, Japan. Presidents of both car companies attended the event.
The Gunma Main Plant, which has undergone significant re-fitting to cope with the extra capacity, will produce the BRZ and the GT 86. And according to Subaru’s grand scheme of things, the Impreza will be made there by 2013.
Until we get sightings of the car somewhere in Port Klang, or driving around masked or being delivered by a trailer, here are some links to get you reacquainted with both cars.

And the wait continues. I reckon the waiting list will be long. Very long.
Seeing the videos from Youtube, this will be the best handling car for the next few years. It’s even easier to drift than the MX5.
GT86 & BRZ will chewed Veloster & Koup then spit out the cheap Korean part.
Now this is what i called cool Sport Car.

Halo friend, the two models you talking about is too far from BRZ & GT86. Don’t compare Proton with Benz. Anyway, please bring these two cool cars here!
Will there be a cheaper GT85 in the future for the financially challenged so-so driver like me??
i don’t expect too much….but make it cheaper than golf gti la can? abang najib? and please somehow bring the most basic version because if i buy it im definitely going to modify it till kingdom come.
For production version in Japan, it is officially:renamed as Toyota 86. No more GT.
Toyota 86 in japan priced from 199 mil Yen. Cheaper then Honda CR-Z.
