First announced in June, the one-off Volvo S60 Polestar caught the attention of the motoring press with its performance figures – 508 hp, 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 300 km/h weren’t numbers normally associated with Gothenburg’s products.
At the time, we reported that the car may enter production in small numbers, depending on market response. Well, the company has announced that it will be giving the S60 Polestar its debut at the upcoming Los Angeles International Auto Show, so this may just give Volvo the public reception it needs to put this car into production.
At the moment, a Polestar-tuned S60 R-Design and XC60 R-Design are offered in select markets with a 325 hp, 479 Nm output. Both models can also be had in the same Rebel Blue you see on the concept car, which should make telling the S60s apart from the outside quite difficult, for now at least.

Impressive, 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 300 km/h! And aventador can make 0-100 km/h in 3 seconds and a top speed in excess of 350 km/h. I’d say if street racing in town road, Volvo S60 Polestar can take down aventador.
volvo has a reputation of impressive on papers ie big number HP and Torque, but they always dont seem to manage to perform in the real world, compared to other reputable car makers. Take down an aventador in street racing? provided the street is full of bumps and poth holes..
shut up and take my mmoney
finally, uncle owner/driver can feel the performance of this volvo.
serious nice rims!
Everything’s good, except the Rebel Blue, give me a white one pls

this beast s60 is the next big thing for d segment car, real enthusiast!
Nt what you’d expect from a Volvo. It may be expensive, compared to an M3 or a C63 AMG, but, oh boy, don’t we love such distinctive cars like this that shout performance and exclusivity?
