It’s called the Volvo S60 Polestar, and it’s set to be presented for the first time on June 16 at the next round of the Swedish TTA – Racing Elite League championship.
Developed by Volvo’s motorsport partner Polestar, the car – which will be based heavily on standard Volvo S60 T6 components – follows on from the C30 Polestar developed back in 2010 and the S60 Performance Project that Volvo Car Australia debuted at the Australian International Motorshow in July last year.
Due to the unprecedented level of interest in the latter, VCA locally developed a limited-edition run of S60 Polestars. Polestar itself watched with great interest how the Australian project was received and, taking it a step further, has come up with the hardcore S60 Polestar performance concept car.
Supposedly, the upcoming vehicle is a spin-off of Polestar’s work evaluating and developing the S60 for racing – whether there will be more cars built will undoubtedly be based on feedback on the prototype. The guess is there should be.

I don’t know about you guys but I think the current Volvo look too similar! Previously, it was very easy to tell a S40, S60 or S80 apart. Now, they have similar nose but different sizes… even up to the XC range. I like this new design but they all look the same! Something is wrong here, Volvo…
what about audi? bmw 3er and 5er? mazda 3 and mazda 6?? they look the same too..
