Verdict
The XC40 is now a simple proposition: one petrol-hybrid variant, one trim, no plug-in hybrid and no XC40-badged EV. At RM268,888, it costs far more than a Proton X70, Jetour Dashing or Proton eMas 7, and also sits RM10,000 above the Mercedes-Benz GLA and MINI Countryman entry prices. But it remains the Volvo compact SUV for buyers who are not ready to switch to the EX40.
